This sturdy contemporary dining table is made of black, fsc-certified ash wood. This table is suitable for 6 to 8 people. Material The table top is made of ash wood (finger jointed), has been given a sanded finish and is lacquered in the colour blacknight. The base is made of metal with a matt black powder coating. Ash is a slightly soft wood with a tight, straight grain. The straight grain allows ash wood to be bent well, which makes ash wood very suitable for the furniture industry. Finished ash wood is strong and hardwearing, but untreated ash wood can show a lot of movement and yellow quickly. Sanded ash gives a neat, smooth appearance. Brushed ash has more character and band sawn ash wood has a very robust and rough look. Dimensions The dining table has a height of 75 cm, a width of 220 cm and a depth of 90 cm. The top measures 220x90 cm and is just under 2 cm thick. The top protrudes 15 cm from the frame at the head ends. The distance between the floor and the top is 73 cm. The legs have a thickness of 25 mm. Maintenance Treated ash wood is easy to clean with a slightly damp, clean cloth. Stains on untreated ash wood can be resolved with an absorbent, clean cloth. For stubborn stains, ash wood can be easily re-treated. Sand the wood to 180-grit paper, then ash wood can be well protected with an oil, wax, varnish or stain of your choice. Untreated ash wood is not suitable for outdoor installation. Delivery The dining table is delivered in one package and is easy to assemble using the supplied assembly instructions. To protect hard floors, place felt glides under the legs.
